macOSKsięgowa.app
Doing your own taxes as a Polish sole proprietor is a yearly slog. Księgowa does the mechanical work on your Mac — and shows where every number comes from.
Coming soon.
Running a one-person business in Poland means keeping the KPiR and getting PIT, VAT and ZUS right — under rules that seem to change every year. So you either hand it all to an accountant, or do it yourself and hope you didn’t miss anything. Neither feels good.
Księgowa is a native Mac app that does the mechanical part for you and shows its work. It keeps your KPiR and computes your PIT advances, VAT, ZUS and annual return — with every figure traceable back to the documents it came from, so you can actually check it.
A co-pilot, not a replacement
Księgowa isn’t here to replace your accountant. It does the mechanical 100% — the transcription, the sums, the arithmetic — and refuses to fake the rest. Where the law needs a human judgment call (is this deductible? which VAT rate? which regime?), it surfaces the decision instead of quietly guessing. You — or your accountant — make the call, verify, and sign to commit. Nothing is filed without that sign-off.
What it handles
- The KPiR (revenue and expense ledger), kept for you
- PIT advances on ryczałt, flat, or the progressive scale
- VAT, ZUS and JPK
- Annual returns and reliefs, including IP-Box
- Fixed assets, leasing and business travel
- KSeF e-invoicing
Every number, checkable
The whole point is that you can trust it. Each amount traces back to the inputs it came from, and the calculation engine is backed by a versioned test suite run against real returns. It does the maths; you keep the judgment.
Your books stay yours
Your accounting lives in a single file on your Mac — receipts, ledger, computations, ZUS workings, the lot. Księgowa is a tool you run, not a service that parks your financial data on someone else’s servers. Your data, yours to own.
We’re building Księgowa because we do our own JDG books and got tired of the yearly scramble. It’s not out yet — you can join the launch list at ksiegowa.app.
